What We Do
Traditional Land Use
In partnership with Nations, we facilitate Traditional Land Use and Occupancy Studies that are rooted in Indigenous oral systems and center on the integration of personal experience, community knowledge, and spiritual insights.
Assessments, Planning & Remediation
In every project with Indigenous Nations, Solstice works collaboratively to address concerns, meet regulatory requirements, and facilitate relationships with government and industry while ensuring the Nations goals are met.
Environmental Training
We develop environmental training and monitoring programs, working with the Nation to build capacity to better manage the environment, to understand the health of the land and water sources and to create job opportunities for local residents.
Braiding Traditional Knowledge
The Solstice team acts like a bridge, finding the right balance between Traditional Knowledge and western science. Our technical expertise and ability to see the ecological big picture, paired with Indigenous Peoples’ knowledge and history with the land, makes us strong partners.
